Prasidh Krishna will miss India's five-match ODI series against New Zealand as he continues recovering from a hamstring injury. The fast bowler is expected to return through India A's third and final four-day match against New Zealand A, provided he clears the BCCI's Return to Play (RTP) assessment.

The BCCI confirmed the decision on October 30, explaining that Prasidh needs additional time to rebuild his bowling workload before returning to competitive cricket. The move is intended to help him regain match fitness ahead of India's two-Test series against New Zealand, beginning November 19.

Prasidh sustained the injury during the second ODI against West Indies in Guwahati on September 30, leaving the field after bowling five overs. His absence from the ODI series gives him additional recovery time, while the India A fixture offers an opportunity to test his readiness in red-ball cricket.

Meanwhile, Mohammed Siraj has joined India A for the second four-day match against New Zealand A, which began on October 31. Nitish Kumar Reddy will feature in India's opening ODI on November 4 before joining India A for the final four-day fixture.
